Why wait 10 years? We have all seen how easily Davy Jones can come ashore when it is needed. 
Perhaps that would have saved a lot of trouble.
Since the chest wouldn't have been needed, as his heart would have stayed where it belongs, I figured it would make a great picknick-box.
I know, that if things would have gone well between these two Davy would not have been looking like this, but I just love the cute squiddyface, so I drew it anyway. ^^
